Damien Ryan

Damien Ryan has extensive experience in the field of geology and petroleum development, having held significant positions at several prominent companies. At Shell from November 2016 to November 2018, Damien served as Development Planning and Hydrocarbon Maturation Manager as well as Front End Development Manager/Subsurface Lead. Prior to that, Damien worked at BG Group from December 2012 to October 2016 as a Consultant Geologist for the East Coast Marine Area in Trinidad & Tobago, and as Principal Geologist for the Central North Sea in Europe Exploration and Production. Additionally, Damien led geological modelling teams at QGC from August 2009 to December 2012, and served as Senior Geologist at MBA Petroleum Consultants from June 2007 to August 2009. The career began as a Geoscientist at Geoscience Australia from January 2001 to June 2007. Damien holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Petroleum Geology from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Queensland University of Technology.
