Daniel Lopez has extensive experience in the oil refining and petrochemicals industry, having worked in various technical and managerial roles. At Shell from July 2018 to March 2021, Daniel served as Field Engineering Superintendent and Senior Process Engineer, providing technical support to FCC units across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as contributing to HF Alky, Thermal Cracking, and crude-related activities. Prior to Shell, Daniel was employed at UOP as Chief Technical Advisor, supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and acceptance of units. Daniel began a career at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., where responsibilities as a Process Engineer included work in visbreaking, FCC, MTBE/TAME, HF Alkylation, and hydroprocessing. Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Oil Refining, Gas & Petrochemicals from Institut Français du Pétrole and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
