David Hone is the Chief Climate Change Adviser at Shell and has held this position since 2001. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions and the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute. David was a Council Member of the International Emissions Trading Association from 2001 to 2022, chairing the organization from 2011 to 2013. They began their career at Shell Trading and Shipping Co as a Senior Trader and later as Trading Manager. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
