Detlef Hohl is currently the Chief Scientist of Computation and Data Science at Shell and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Rice University. They previously held roles at Shell as a Geophysicist and Senior Staff Geophysicist, among others, culminating in leadership positions in Computation and Modeling. Detlef conducted postdoctoral research at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and worked at Forschungszentrum Jülich. They earned a PhD in Physics from RWTH Aachen and an MSc in Chemistry from the Technical University Munich.
