Dustin Daechsel is a Shell Global Drilling Mechanics Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience in BHA assembly, drill string, and bit design. Currently based in a Houston centralized support group, Dustin supports various global plays, including deep folded thrust belts and North American Shale. Previously, Dustin worked at Schlumberger as a Drilling Services Manager from 2006 to 2013, before joining Shell Oil Company, where they served as a Performance Drilling Subject Matter Expert until 2019. With an unrelenting focus on performance limiter redesign, Dustin has successfully driven down development costs for challenging projects through innovative technical solutions and strategic collaborations. They are also pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological studies at NAIT.
