Emily Thanasegaram holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has accumulated extensive experience in refinery and catalyst manufacturing. From 2001 to 2011, they worked at Port Dickson Refinery and a Catalyst Manufacturing company before serving as a Regional Project Engineer for Shell Aviation Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2018. Following this, they took on roles in operational excellence and contract management, ultimately becoming the Global Contract Manager for Mobility and Digitalisation.
