Eric Nickel serves as the Principal HSSE Due Diligence Lead QC at Shell since July 2012, specializing in risk and opportunity management to support Shell's Powering Progress strategy during the energy transition across various business lines, including Upstream, Downstream, and Renewable Energy. Nickel has held several leadership positions at Shell, focusing on HSSE due diligence for global acquisitions and divestments, leading multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate HSSE liabilities, and engaging in numerous transactions across different sectors, including renewables. Prior experience includes serving as Sr Program Manager at Shell Canada Products Limited, managing soil and groundwater assessments, and as Territory Manager at Morrow Environmental Consultants, overseeing contamination assessment and remediation programs at industrial sites. Nickel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from The University of British Columbia.
