Floris Duursma

Floris Duursma is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Commercial Operations Manager for Global Downstream LNG & Asia Gas at Shell since November 2012. Responsibilities include overseeing global LNG break bulk trading and Asian gas trading operations with teams across multiple countries, while leading initiatives to scale LNG as a marine fuel towards net-zero emissions. Previous roles at Shell spanned various managerial positions, including Fuel Oil Operations Manager and Team Lead Wireline, where significant achievements included the development of innovative offshore wireline techniques and performance improvements in completions and well interventions. Prior to Shell, Floris founded and directed Certanize and held engineering roles at Schlumberger and design positions in computational fluid dynamics at Voxdale and Ceemo Design. Floris holds a Master of Science in Management of Technology from Delft University of Technology.
