Francesco Menapace

Francesco Menapace is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the General Manager of Technology Innovation at Shell since December 2007, where responsibilities include reinventing workflows through disruptive technology. In previous roles at Shell, Francesco held positions as a Digitalization Business Opportunity Manager and Exploration Geologist, developing expertise in near-field exploration and seismic processing. Additionally, Francesco is the President and Co-Founder of Onward, established in January 2020. Prior experience also includes a tenure as a Logging while Drilling Engineer at Schlumberger from April 2005 to October 2007, overseeing wellsite operations. Francesco holds a Master’s degree in Geology from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, earned between 1999 and 2004.
