Govert van Berckel

Govert van Berckel is currently leading Hydrogen Business Development at Shell, focusing on low carbon solutions. They have formerly held multiple project engineering roles at Shell, contributing to significant projects such as the Nigeria LNG Brownfield Modifications and supporting decision-making through data analytics in the global capital project portfolio. Prior experience includes research and internship positions at Heerema Marine Contractors and Boskalis, as well as leadership roles in student organizations. Govert holds a Master’s Degree in Offshore and Dredging Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they also earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
