Haibin Xu

Haibin Xu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as General Manager of the Shell Research Alliance and a member of the Shell Science Council. With a career at Shell since February 2006, Haibin has held various leadership roles, including Regional Manager for Shell ResearchConnect and GameChanger and managing upstream technical teams. As a co-founder and former program director of GCxN, Haibin has invested in approximately 15 innovative companies. Additionally, Haibin is actively involved in several advisory roles, including on the boards of the Asian American Academy of Science and Engineering, the University of Texas at Austin's Energy Institute, and the University of Houston's Energy Advisory Board. Education includes a PhD in Geophysics from Stanford University and various executive programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
