Herald Ligtenberg

Herald Ligtenberg is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in exploration and subsurface risk management, particularly during tenure at Shell from February 2015 to December 2019, where roles included Principal Exploration Geoscientist and Near-field Exploration Lead. In these positions, Ligtenberg focused on enhancing global subsurface evaluation and managing exploration projects while fostering integrated collaboration across disciplines. Prior experience includes leadership roles at dGB Earth Sciences and Halliburton, where responsibilities encompassed managing geoscience departments and conducting geoscientific analysis on drilling rigs. Herald Ligtenberg holds an MSc in Structural Geology and Tectonics from Utrecht University.
