James Hine

James (Jim) Hine currently serves as the General Counsel for Integrated Gas & Upstream at Shell, a role they have held since 2023. Their previous experience at Shell spans various senior legal positions, including Associate Counsel for Integration and Associate General Counsel for Upstream Brazil & Latin America. They briefly worked as the Transition General Counsel at BG Group in 2016 and began their career in law as an associate and trainee solicitor at Allen & Overy between 1998 and 2004. Jim holds a Postgraduate degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a CPE & LPC from The College of Law, Guildford.
