Jan Antonsson is a Global Maritime Manager Chemicals and Principal Technical Expert in Maritime Safety, currently leading a team of marine professionals at Shell. With extensive experience as a Master Mariner from 1990 to 2004, Jan operated various tankers and earned an MBA in Shipping Logistics and Economy between 2000 and 2002. From 2004 to 2012, Jan was a Marine Technical Advisor at Shell Oil Company, overseeing assurance for activities in the Nordic region. In addition to current responsibilities at Shell, Jan serves as the Chairman of the Chemical Distribution Institute’s Marine Executive Board.
