Jan Limbeck

Jan Limbeck is currently the Manager of GenAI Innovation and Applied R&D at Shell in Amsterdam, focusing on developing innovative data science solutions for the energy sector. Previously, they held various roles at Shell Global Solutions, including Team Lead for Subsurface and Wells Data Science and Senior Data Scientist, where they advanced machine learning applications in upstream and downstream operations. Jan began their career as a Project Assistant at the University of Passau and later served as a Research Computer Scientist, contributing to R&D in machine learning techniques. They hold an MSc in Computer Sciences and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Passau.
