Johan de Boer

Johan de Boer has extensive experience in the chemical and energy sectors, primarily with Shell since September 2005. As a Technical Service Operator EO, Johan provides technical support during catalyst changeouts and aids during plant startups. Johan has also served as an Operational Expert for EO/EG, contributing to safe plant operations and promoting the Shell HSE culture. Previous roles include Hoofd Operator, where responsibilities included acting as a permanent replacement and participating in the MEOD preservation team post-2015 Caustic Incident, and Praktijk Instructeur, focusing on operator training and process improvement. Johan has also contributed to safety initiatives as a member of the local staff council and has experience as a firefighter with the Shell company fire department. Prior to Shell, Johan worked at Tronox Pigments GmbH as an operator and completed an internship at Uniper's Maasvlakte powerplant.
