John Martin

John Martin is a highly experienced Senior Geoscientist at Shell since February 2013, specializing in subsurface support, reservoir characterization, and integrated reservoir modeling. Martin enhances prospect de-risking strategies through quantitative predictions and collaborative workflows. Previously, as a Research Geoscientist at Shell, Martin developed an innovative data model for storing and processing unstructured subsurface data, setting a new industry standard. Prior experience includes serving as a Geoscientist at ExxonMobil, where Martin advanced research strategies and improved reservoir characterization methods. Martin holds a PhD in Geology/Geophysics and Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.Sc. in Earth-systems Sciences from George Mason University.
