Jorge Penso

Jorge Penso is the Principal Inspection and Integrity Engineer at Shell, a position held since 2018. An ASME Fellow and AWS Fellow, Jorge has also served as the past Chair of API SCCM and API 582, as well as the past Vice Chair of the Ma2JIC Industry Advisory Board, and received the Warren F. Savage Memorial Award. Previously, Jorge worked as a Metallurgist at Stress Engineering Services from 2003 to 2005 and as a Materials and Corrosion Specialist at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. from 1979 to 2003. Jorge earned a PhD and MSc in Welding and Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University between 1997 and 2001.
