Josien Vegter is currently the Ethics and Compliance Officer for Shell’s Global Downstream, including Renewables and Functions, a position held since June 2023. With a strong legal background, they served as a Legal Manager at NAM BV Assen from 2012 to 2017, and as an Ethics & Compliance Officer for Shell’s Upstream/Integrated Gas segment from 2017 to 2021. Prior to these roles, Josien was a candidate civil law notary at NautaDutilh from 1996 to 2005 and worked as a Legal Counsel at Shell from 2005 to 2008. They are pursuing a degree in civil law and notarial law at Leiden University.
