Julie Ferland

Julie Ferland is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in maritime operations and engineering. Currently serving as General Manager of Maritime Operations for the Americas and International Gas at Shell since August 2016, Ferland also holds the position of Vice President of Innovation Excellence. Previously, Ferland led Shell TechWorks as General Manager, focusing on integrating external technologies into Shell's operations. Ferland's prior experience includes roles such as Vice President of Engineering at Hydroid, Inc., and Vice President and Principal Engineer at Maritime Applied Physics Corp. Ferland's early career with the US Navy encompassed various technical positions, including Aegis Test Officer. Ferland earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, Ferland serves on the Board of Directors for Studio X.
