Kaijian Liu is a Senior Exploration Geoscientist with experience at Shell from 2020 to 2024, focusing on deepwater exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to this role, Kaijian worked as a Processing Geophysicist, contributing to deepwater seismic imaging and technology deployment, and as a Summer Intern, developing diagnostic tools for seismic analysis. Kaijian also served as a Research Assistant in Geophysics at Rice University from 2007 to 2012, engaging in various seismic imaging projects. Kaijian holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics (Geophysics) from Rice University and a B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
