Karl Bartholomew is a seasoned tax and consulting professional with extensive experience in the refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries. Currently serving as a Senior Tax Advisor at Shell since January 2016, Karl manages the US property tax group. Prior to this, Karl held the position of Vice President, Americas at ICIS, specializing in chemical and petrochemical consulting from December 2012 to January 2016. From January 2009 to November 2012, Karl worked as a Principal Consultant at KBC Advanced Technologies, where responsibilities included coordinating strategic consulting practices in the Americas. A long tenure at Pace Consultants from 1981 to 2009 saw Karl rise through the ranks to Director, Managing Director, and ultimately President. Karl also directed the petcoke group at Jacobs Consultancy and began a career as an Engineer at Exxon, focusing on environmental air contact and process control. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Houston Christian University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
