Katharine Birtwistle

Katharine Birtwistle is a senior external relations and project management professional with twenty years of international experience in social investment, community relations, and communications strategy. Previously, they served as a Strategic Advisor to the Head of Muscat Municipality from 2010 to 2011. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Global Corporate Relations at Shell Mobility & Convenience for 2024-2025, having also worked extensively within Shell in various roles, including Senior External Communications Advisor and Sustainable Development Business Advisor. Katharine was the Team Lead for Corporate Communications at LNG Canada from 2013 to 2019 and was a Founding Director at Oman Sail from 2008 to 2010.
