Koen Broker

Koen Broker is a Carbon & Environmental Manager at Shell Renewables & Energy Solutions, bringing a strong background in marine biology, environmental science, and ecology to environmental risk management. They have a demonstrated history of managing diverse teams and large environmental programs, particularly in the fields of offshore wind environmental risk assessments and biodiversity conservation. Koen has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications focused on marine life impacts and mitigation strategies. They hold a PhD in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Groningen and a Master’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Universiteit Utrecht.
