Lakshmanan Prasad

Lakshmanan Prasad has extensive experience in the maritime technology and engineering sectors, having held various key positions since 1991. Currently, Lakshmanan serves as the Head of Maritime Technology & Projects for Asia Pacific and the Middle East at Shell since April 2006, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of maritime projects while promoting decarbonization and operational efficiency. Previous roles include Manager of Marine Engineering at Shell, where responsibilities involved supporting crucial decarbonization and energy transition projects, and Project Manager for multiple significant initiatives, including Floating LNG and FPSO projects. Prior experience also includes roles at Lloyd's Register, Drydocks World, NOL Group of Companies, and Nico International, focusing on project management and engineering in shipbuilding, conversion, and offshore construction. Lakshmanan holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kerala.
