Lionel Laza

Lionel Laza, CPSM, is a seasoned procurement and supply chain professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Procurement Manager at Shell since December 2019, Lionel oversees the Category Management & Contracting Process, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize value from contracts. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Supply Chain Manager and Category Superintendent at BHP, where Lionel developed multi-year category strategies and led sourcing projects. Additional roles at BHP involved significant contract negotiation responsibilities. Previous positions at Schlumberger focused on managing supply chain activities for well services, and early career experience with the U.S. Air Force included logistics and contract management overseeing substantial procurement operations. Lionel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Systems from Bowie State University and an Associate Degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
