Luud Heck has extensive experience in both software engineering and geophysics, currently serving as the Software Engineering Excellence Manager at Shell since June 2005, focusing on Scaled Agile and Open Source Software. Prior roles at Shell include Senior Commercial Lead Geophysics, overseeing procurement for geophysics and geomatics data, and various positions in seismic processing, where contributions included advanced imaging and VSP modeling. Luud also held the role of Executive Coordinator EP R&D, driving business planning and portfolio management. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Sioux and a Software Engineer at InfoRay, developing seismic processing software and multi-platform business applications, respectively. Luud obtained an MSc in Technical Geophysics from Delft University of Technology in 2000.
