Machteld De Haan has held significant leadership roles at Shell since January 2022, including President Downstream, Renewables and Energy Solutions, and Executive Vice President Chemicals and Products, as well as Executive Vice President Global Shell Lubricants. Prior to this, Machteld De Haan obtained a Master of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where studies took place from January 1991 to January 1997, following completion of education at Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda between January 1985 and January 1991.
