Mahmood Al Busafi is a seasoned Reservoir Engineer with extensive experience across multiple prominent companies in the oil and gas industry. Beginning a career at Petroleum Development Oman from May 2007 to June 2009, Mahmood held various reservoir engineering roles, including Planning Reservoir Engineer for the Sour Gas Team and Well and Reservoir Management for the Saih Nihayda Gas Team. Mahmood advanced to Oxy as a Reservoir Engineer from June 2013 to December 2016 before joining BP OMAN as a Reservoir Simulation Engineer in January 2017. Currently, Mahmood works as a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Shell since July 2019 and serves as the Wells, Reservoirs & Facilities Management Manager at Shell Oman from April 2024. Mahmood holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), completed in 2023.
