Marco Hanzsch

Marco Hanzsch is an accomplished professional serving as the General Manager and Head of Governance at Shell plc. They owned a startup in electrical appliance manufacturing from 1994 to 1997 before joining Shell, where they held various leadership roles including Global Head of O&G Safety & Environment Performance Management, Global Head of Risk, Assurance & Compliance, and currently, Global Head of Governance. Marco has contributed to significant projects relating to environmental performance and governance frameworks, and has represented Shell in several international committees. They hold multiple qualifications, including a Dipl. Wirt.-Ing. from Technische Universität Dresden and completion of leadership programs at INSEAD and London Business School.
