Matt Dixon

Matt Dixon is a Senior Exploration Geologist with extensive experience in various geological roles. They served as a Senior Exploration Geoscientist at Shell from 2013 to 2016, focusing on technical leadership for ventures in Uruguay and Namibia, alongside regional evaluations in the South Atlantic. Prior to this, Matt held positions as an Exploration Geologist and Stratigrapher at Shell and as a Palynologist/Stratigrapher at MGPALAEO from 2006 to 2009. Most recently, from 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Explorationist at Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Sdn. Bhd., where they reviewed middle-offshore area prospects. Matt completed a Bachelor of Science in Geology at The University of Western Australia, graduating with First Class Honours in 2000, and they were a PhD candidate at the same institution.
