Matthew Montpetit

Matthew Montpetit is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit risk management. Currently serving as the Regional Credit Manager at Shell since February 2022, Matthew previously held roles at NRG Energy from July 2015 to February 2022, including Senior Credit Manager and Credit Risk Manager. Early career development occurred through multiple internships at Aliance Risk Group, where Matthew gained foundational experience as a Credit Analyst Intern and progressed to Credit Risk Intern. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Finance from The University of Lethbridge and a diploma in Business Finance from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
