Michael Reynolds

Principal Science Fellow

Michael Reynolds is a Principal Science Fellow in Catalysis with extensive experience in science and technology innovation at Shell. They have led R&D projects focused on hydrogen energy vectors, novel catalysts for renewable refining, and materials for the energy transition. Previously, they served as a Senior Principal Science Expert and made significant contributions to production chemistry, including hydraulic fracturing and water treatment processes. Michael earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Michigan State University, followed by a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State University and a post-doctoral degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
