Miguel Simão

Miguel Simão is a data scientist with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, currently working at Shell as a Senior Data Scientist. Previously, Miguel held various roles, including Data Scientist and R&D leader at Stratio, where they focused on anomaly detection models for time-series data and electric vehicle monitoring. They have also contributed as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Universidade de Coimbra and as a Visiting Research Scholar at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Miguel's experience encompasses teaching as an Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra and leading R&D projects as an R&D Engineer at AMVALOR. Their technical expertise includes Python, SQL, machine learning, and data visualization, with a strong interest in transportation, energy, and manufacturing industries.
