Nicholas Laycock is currently the Lead Materials & Corrosion Engineer (TA1) for the Pearl GTL at Shell. They have extensive experience in materials and corrosion engineering, previously holding roles such as Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer at Shell Todd Oil Services and Lead Materials and Corrosion Engineer at Shell. Nicholas began their career as a Research Scientist at Industrial Research Ltd before advancing to Research Manager at Quest Integrity Group. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Corrosion from UMIST, along with a Master of Science (MSc) in Corrosion Science & Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics & Chemistry of Materials from the same institution.
