Onno van Kessel

Onno van Kessel is the General Manager of Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage Development at Shell, where they are responsible for the global technical delivery and competitiveness of the pre-FEED CCUS project portfolio. Previously, Onno served in various roles at Shell, including Vice President of GTL Mozambique and Senior Business Advisor, where they managed multi-billion dollar gas projects and delivered significant governance changes. Their earlier experience includes being the Vincent Development Manager at Woodside Energy from 2006 to 2008. Onno holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics, graduating Cum Laude from Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as a degree in Physical Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier.
