Paola Serna CEng UK, a Technical Safety Manager at Shell Global since March 2008, has extensive experience in process and technical safety across various roles, including Process Safety Manager for Brazil and Senior Technical Safety Engineer for deep water wells. Paola has successfully supported Shell and its partners in implementing effective safety designs and managing risks to ALARP on major projects. Prior to joining Shell, Paola worked as a Process Engineer at Foster Wheeler, Technip, Imaserca, and PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela, contributing to significant projects in refinery operations and wastewater treatment plant design. Paola holds a Master's degree in Process Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo and a Chemical Engineering degree from Universidad Simón Bolívar, as well as an introductory qualification in Project Management from South Thames College.
