Patricia Astrid has extensive experience in leading the technical deployment, development, and research of autonomous control tools for both Upstream and Downstream applications. They served as an Advanced Process Control consultant at Shell Global Solutions International B.V. from 2006 to 2012, where they significantly enhanced oil field modeling and developed innovative control tools. Patricia has also held various roles at Shell, including Delivery Manager for Heavy Duty Electrification and Senior R&D Lead for Completions Well Intervention, focusing on automation tools in drilling operations. They earned a PhD in Control Systems and are recognized as an expert in model-based multivariable control and optimization. Currently, Patricia is pursuing multiple degrees, including an MSc in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology.
