Peter Westerink

Peter Westerink is currently the General Manager of Renewables for Downstream Ventures at Shell, where they manage the company's interests in Raizen, a biofuel and downstream joint venture in Brazil and Argentina. Previously, they served in various roles at Shell, including Service Manager and Production Excellence Lead, where they focused on operational excellence and innovative strategies in Integrated Gas assets. Peter's early career included positions as a Business Finance Advisor and Process Design Engineer at Shell Chemicals, where they specialized in process safety and energy optimization. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen and completed high school at Yokohama International School in Japan.
