Rachel Solway

Rachel was previously Executive Vice President (EVP) Human Resources for Organisational Development and Learning. She joined Shell in 1995 as a university graduate, starting out as an account manager in Human Resources (HR) based in Aberdeen, where she supported workers on the four Brent field platforms in the North Sea.

She held various roles in Shell’s Downstream business before becoming HR Vice President for Global Manufacturing in 2014. In 2016, as EVP HR, she led the integration of BG Group’s gas business with Shell Integrated Gas. More recently, she served as EVP HR for Upstream.

Rachel holds a degree in Geography from the University of Oxford. She is married with two daughters and is based in the UK.
