Rob de Koning

Rob de Koning is an experienced engineering professional with over two decades in the energy and chemical sectors. Currently serving as the Mechanical & Corrosion Engineering Manager at Shell since November 2006, Rob oversees a team of 24 staff across various engineering disciplines. Previous roles at Shell include Inspection Team Lead and Maintenance Manager, where responsibilities encompassed project inspection assurance and maintenance execution for multiple disciplines. Prior to Shell, Rob gained experience as a Static Equipment Engineer at ExxonMobil and as a Production Optimization Consultant at BASF. Rob holds an M.Sc. in Engineering, Maintenance Management from Delft University of Technology and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, complemented by further studies at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
