Runer Avila

Runer Avila is an accomplished asset development and reservoir engineering professional with over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Asset Development Manager at Shell since June 2011, Runer has held various key roles, including Subsurface & Growth Manager and Principal Reservoir Engineer, overseeing integrated studies in turbidite deep water fields. Previous experience includes positions at Repsol Sinopec Brasil and Repsol YPF, where responsibilities ranged from monitoring offshore field performance to leading operational reservoir teams and optimizing well productivity. Runer holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, a Master of Science in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production from Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar.
