Rutger Van Spaendonck

Rutger Van Spaendonck is currently the CCS & Blue H2 Opportunity Origination Lead at Shell, where they focus on emerging energy solutions. Previously, Rutger held roles at Arrow Energy as Bowen Development Manager and at NAM BV Assen as a Petroleum Engineer specializing in geoscience. They also contributed as a Research Associate at Rice University and served in various capacities at Shell, including Reservoir Geophysicist and Development Manager. Rutger earned an MSc in Mining & Petroleum Engineering and a PhD in Applied Sciences from Delft University of Technology, alongside doctoral research in Electrical Engineering at Rice University.
