Ruud Henkes is the Scientific Director of the J.M. Burgers Centre for Fluid Mechanics and serves as the Principal Technical Expert in Fluid Flow at Shell. They held various academic positions at TU Delft from 1997 to 2021, including Full Professor in Multiphase Flow and Associate Professor in Aerodynamics. Previously, at Shell from 1997 to 2001, Ruud was a Team Member and Team Leader in Multiphase Flow. Ruud earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Natural Sciences and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft.
