Sander Belien

Sander Belien is a Senior Innovation Lead with extensive experience in reservoir engineering and high-performance computing. They served as a Research Reservoir Engineer at Shell International Exploration & Production B.V. from 2001 to 2007 and later held positions as a Reservoir Engineer Application Developer and HPC Team Lead at Shell Global Solutions from 2010 to 2014. They also contributed to the field through roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stichting FOM and the European Space Agency between 1997 and 1999. Sander completed a Ph.D. in Theoretical Plasma Physics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they also earned a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics with distinction.
