Sander Blom

Sander Blom possesses extensive experience in reliability and production management within the energy sector. At Shell, Sander served in various roles, including Reliability Lead, where Sander successfully led the implementation of the MTO process for the Sarawak Gas Asset and developed a team of reliability engineers. As Enhanced Problem Solving Team Lead, Sander utilized Causal Learning methodology to address complex challenges at Pearl GTL. Additional contributions include overseeing operations as Deputy Production Unit Manager for both the Hycon Hydrocracker Unit and the Steam and Power area of Pearl GTL, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance optimization. Sander's tenure at Sakhalin Energy involved leading the Preventive Maintenance Optimization project and implementing Shell's reliability processes for offshore assets. Previous roles at E.ON Benelux included Unit Supervisor and Process/Performance Engineer, enhancing asset management and operational coordination. Sander holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from TH Rijswijk and an MSc in Process and Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology, graduating cum laude.
