Sigve Apeland

Sigve Apeland PhD has extensive experience in safety, risk management, and infrastructure development within the oil and gas sector. Starting as a Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at Høgskolen i Stavanger, Sigve transitioned to roles at Polytec R&D Foundation and Gassco AS, where responsibilities included establishing HSE&Q management systems and managing gas infrastructure development projects. Subsequent positions at Shell involved integrated risk management and asset management, culminating in senior roles overseeing significant projects like the Northern Lights JV. Sigve holds a PhD in risk-based maintenance decisions, a B.Sc. in safety technology, and an M.Sc. in offshore safety technology.
