Simon Cane

Simon Cane is a valuation expert at Shell, where they currently serve as the Renewable Generation Valuation Lead for the APAC region. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of Valuation and Economics Lead for Integrated Gas & Upstream Asia at Shell. They have extensive experience in investment appraisal, having worked as a GM of Economics and Planning at QGC - A BG Group Business from 2011 to 2023, and as an Investment Appraisal Manager at BG Group from 2006 to 2010. Simon began their career as an Associate Director in Transaction Services at KPMG UK, where they worked from 1997 to 2006. Simon holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Royal School of Mines, which they completed from 1989 to 1992.
