Sjors van de Rijt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the General Manager of Global Sector Decarbonization at Shell, where a focus is placed on achieving Net Zero Emissions through partnerships in the Tech industry. With a strong background in strategy consultancy, Sjors has advised the Shell Executive Committee on energy transition and risk management, as well as led Shell’s power and energy transition strategy. Previous roles include managing a substantial budget in Lubricants Supply Chain for EMEA, Russia, and Pakistan, negotiating long-term European gas contracts, and excelling as a Senior Originator in the European pipeline Gas and LNG market. Additionally, as an Investor Representative for Shell Ventures in immersion cooling technology, Sjors continues to drive innovation and investment. Sjors holds a Master's degree in International Business from Maastricht University and was the founder and CEO of a telecom management consultancy prior to joining Shell.
