Stephane Gesbert

Stéphane Gesbert is a principal geophysicist at Shell with extensive experience in seismic interpretation and technology advancement. Holding an MS in Applied Physics from Université Jussieu (Paris VII) and a civil engineering degree from École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, Stéphane began their career at Sopha Medical Systems before moving to Shell E&P. At Shell, Stéphane built and led the Subtle Traps R&D team, contributing to patented technologies that transformed seismic interpretation. Currently, they lead innovative R&D in stratigraphic and quantitative interpretation while also mentoring and enhancing technical capabilities through teaching and workshops globally.
